«Woman – Bomb”» by the croatian playwright Ivana Sajko is the monologue of a female suicide bomber, that reflects the last 12 minutes of a female suicide bomber before the explosion.
the trigger is pulled; the fuse is burning,,,waiting ,,,
Based on Ivana Sajko’s text, “Woman-Bomb” Sanja Ristic conceived, produced and staged the rock concert show. “Protect me from myself “ is an emotional turmoil which takes the audience to a loud rock concert, to a fight, a celebration, into flight or weightlessness. In between the emotional tension of the assassin’s “Heroism and Powerlessness”, the play focuses on the moment “Just before”, where the instinctive feelings and the mind are in a constant battle. The trigger is pulled , the fuse is burning ..waiting..

Sanja Ristic and her team succeeded in bringing enormous emotional sensitivities on stage and managed to avoid clichés without losing the appropriate seriousness that is required for the subject. “Protect me from myself“ is a performance that stirs emotions and grabs you. It is in the mix: silence and self-reflexive moments in which the suicide remembers her past are set against excessive dance scenes, songs and dynamic musical intermezzi. „Protect me from myself“ abstains from any moral values. Still the fast show with this serious subject never sinks to arbitrary or befriending concernment.
